Passenger jumped from moving plane at Los Angeles airport

LOS ANGELES – A passenger was rushed to hospital Friday night time after leaping from a transferring aircraft at Los Angeles Worldwide Airport, authorities stated.

United Categorical flight 5365, operated by SkyWest, left a gate shortly after 7 p.m. when the person tried unsuccessfully to interrupt into the cockpit, then opened the service door and jumped down the escape slide onto the tarmac, in line with the airport and SkyWest .

The person was taken into custody on the taxiway, handled for non-life-threatening accidents and brought to hospital, the authorities stated.

The dual-engine Embraer 175, which was en path to Salt Lake Metropolis, returned to its gate, the airport introduced.

It was nonetheless there hours later.

No person on board the aircraft was injured.

The FBI was investigating.

It was the second incident at LAX in two days.
