Alvin E. Tilquit Sr., higher referred to as “Barber Turk”, shall be staying together with his Creator, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August thirteenth, 2021. I went again to. He was 92 years outdated. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a religious member of the St. Pedro Claver Catholic Church (the place his mom labored). He attended St. Peter Claver’s Faculty, Xavier Prep, Straight Enterprise Faculty, and Barber Faculty. Alvin Sr. additionally labored within the US Military.
Alvin Sr. has owned and operated the Turks Barber Store on London Avenue (now AP Turrow Avenue) for over 60 years. As many know, Alvin Sr. spent a whole lot of time on the racetrack, the place he loved betting (and sometimes successful) horses.
Alvin Sr. to his dad and mom, the late Ferdinand and Pearl (Nee Hiller) Tilquit, and his brothers Dewey (Lucille), Geraldine, Lloyd, Donald (Teresa) and Aaron (Maxin) Tilquit. I died earlier than. Sons Glen (Robin) and Kelly Tillquit. And daughter-in-law Priscilla.
Alvin Sr. survives from Cathy Henderson (Ronald), daughter from Spartanberg, South Carolina, son Alvin Tircuit Jr. (Sheila), son Bryan Tircuit Sr. Tircuit (Laverne) and son Jimmy Tircuit from Spartanberg, South Carolina. .. granddaughter Keri Henderson Norris (Alton Norris), Bethany Henderson, Nakia Craige, grandson Alvin Circuit III, Bryan Circuit Jr., Glenn Circuit Jr., Glenda Sykes (Brandon), Keri Brown; and great-grandchildren hosts.
