Notoriously tormented by a housing scarcity, Los Angeles has launched a brand new initiative geared toward drastically reducing the approval course of – and selling good design – with pre-approved plans for extra housing items (ADU).
The ADU Normal Plan program begins with designs from 14 architectural places of work, starting from well-known places of work to rising studios: WHY, SO – IL, Design, Bitches, LA Más, Jennifer Bonner / MALL, sekou cooke STUDIO, Fung + Blatt Architects, Escher GuneWardena Structure, Join Houses, Amunátegui Valdés, IT Home, First Workplace, Abodu and Welcome Tasks.

LA Más: 1 story studio with choices (3D printed residence)
SO – IL: 1-storey, 1 bed room with choices (693 sf)
Amunátegui Valdés: 1 flooring, 2 bedrooms with coated roof terrace and choices (934 sf)
IT home: 2-storey together with machine room with choices (660 sf)
Design, bitches: 1 story, 1 bed room with choices (454 sf)
WHY: 1 story, 1 or 2 bed room with choices with Manufacturing unit Constructed Housing (480 sf – 800 sf)
Fung + Blatt Architects: 1-story, 1-bedroom with roof terrace with choices (795 sf)
