A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck Inglewood, close to Los Angeles, at 4:44 a.m. on Monday and triggered slight and momentary shaking in some areas of San Diego County, in accordance with the US Geological Survey.
Scientists stated the quake began about 12 miles deep with an unknown fault. That is barely deeper than most southern California quakes and minimizes floor tremors. Shaking has been reported in Oceanside, San Diego, La Mesa, and Spring Valley.
The principle shock was preceded by a quake of three.3 at 4:15 a.m., the USGS introduced.
Such quakes are usually not unusual in Southern California and normally don’t lead to a a lot bigger occasion.
